Three Generations. One Passion.
The story of ZORO didn’t begin in a bridal boutique. It began in a small tailoring workshop in the heart of Sicily.
In the 1940s, a young Agata Zoro discovered her passion for dressmaking. Taught by the local nuns, she mastered the art of traditional tailoring with patience, precision, and an unwavering attention to detail. Even then, she dreamed of creating beautiful gowns and helping women celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.
Years later, her journey brought her to Switzerland. She refined her craftsmanship in renowned couture ateliers in Zurich, working on exquisite evening gowns before accepting a position at a small bridal boutique on the shores of Lake Zurich. It was there that she fell in love with bridal fashion—a passion that would shape the future of her family for generations to come.
When the boutique closed its doors in 1988, Agata saw an opportunity to fulfil the dream she had carried since childhood. Together with her family, she took over the business and laid the foundation for what ZORO is today.
Her eldest daughter, Milena, then a fashion student at Zurich University of the Arts, made the bold decision to leave her studies and join her mother. With a natural eye for international fashion and emerging designers, she began curating collections that quickly distinguished ZORO within the bridal world. Her father, Pietro, managed the business, while her younger sister Katia became an integral part of the company’s creative vision. Together, they built a family business founded on passion, craftsmanship, and a genuine commitment to every bride who walks through the door.
As ZORO continued to grow, the boutique found its home in the heart of Zurich in 1992—a place that remains synonymous with privacy, personalised service, and an exceptional selection of designer bridal fashion.
Today, Milena and Katia continue to lead ZORO with the very same passion that inspired their mother decades ago. They travel the world in search of extraordinary designers, carefully curating collections that reflect timeless elegance, exceptional craftsmanship, and modern femininity.
And Agata?
Even today, now over 80, she still visits the atelier and her beloved team whenever she can. For her, bridal fashion has never simply been a profession—it has always been a life’s passion.
That passion continues to define ZORO today.
